School Psychologist

The school psychologist provides support in the areas of:

• Behaviour – work with students, parents and the school to identify and modify behaviours at the individual, group and systemic levels

• Learning – support schools in making appropriate curriculum adjustments for students to ensure maximum gains in learning outcomes

• Mental health and wellbeing – provide direct support to students and families when the student is experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties, and assist the school to develop and promote positive mental health

Additionally, the school psychologist may also deliver professional learning to staff and deliver whole-class or group programs around psychoeducation and mental health and wellbeing where needed. The school psychologist also runs Positive Parenting Seminars (Triple P) annually and provides relevant and useful resources and information for parents in our school newsletter.
